One of the best things about being a photographer in Hawaii is all the cool places we have to shoot. Kawela bay has banyan trees, coconut trees and a quiet half moon shaped bay. Feels like you are walking right out of a movie set. Maila was fun to work with. I’ve shot all the Aluli’s over the years and it’s always great fun.
Christine and Andrew picked my favorite beach house in Hawaii Kai for their wedding. Bayer estate has been around since the the 30’s. I love the cool gardens and quite beach. Andrew and Christine are triathletes and Andrew ran from Kailua to Hawaii Kai for the wedding.
Great short hike on Oahu’s east side. I love looking at the little mini waterfalls that form at the bottome of a waterfall. Moss on wet rocks has such a cool texture.
Makaha is one of the best places to dive on Oahu. The kikakapu really stand out against the blue ocean. The older turtles are quite used to humans. They just glide right by you. Didn’t quite have the breath to make it under this arch but Erich did. I love the ways the light rays come through the water. Turtle lining up to get their shells cleaned. Turtle with the Waianae mountain range in the background.
I can usually count on a nice sunset at Kawela bay. One of my favorite places to shoot. It’s a long drive from Honolulu but worth it in my opinion.
I love shooting out at Waimea Falls on the north shore. So many great places for pictures.
Wailalae Beach ParkWaialae beach park is one of the most popular beaches on the island for weddings. It is in Kahala on the south shore of Oahu. It is only 15 to 20 minutes from Waikiki. I shoot quite a few weddings here every year. The weather tends to be sunny and not too windy usually. There are some good spots for pictures. The beach isn’t really big and there are usually a lot of weddings shot there on weekends. Ke Iki BeachKe Iki beach is a nice beach for weddings on the North shore of Oahu. It is one …
